Our Breezin’ Thru Theory students know how to celebrate the sheer thrill and joy of making music. We join their teachers in being SO proud of their achievements!

<p>Who’s # 1? Dodge Middle School is when it comes to the Breezin’ Thru Ultimate Playoffs – Bass Clef! Not only did they compete and win against schools from around the world, but they also beat out high school students. The competition ran for an entire month and these kids just never let up. How amazing is that! Congrats Dodge Music.</p>

<p>For three years, Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy music students have used Breezin’ Thru Theory to help them develop their music reading skills. Teaching concepts such as note and rhythm reading, and meter and scale constructions, it helps teach students the language of music, enabling them to be better performers of music.</p>
<p>Choral student Alyse Hendrix recently submitted the 4 millionth drill in Breezin’ Thru’s history. Alyse and her fellow choristers submit weekly drills to their instructor, Mrs. Lorie Wacaster. They were all awarded this group plaque to commemorate their participation in reaching this incredible 4,000,000 milestone. They personally have completed well over 2000 drills this year with an average score of 97%! How fantastic is that. Congratulations! </p>

<p>When kids give you the <em>‘Thumbs Up’‎</em> to music theory the Next Gen way… you know you have something special. And when it comes to Breezin’ Thru you know it’ll be motivating and fun.</p>
<p>Well, these <em>‘Thumbs Up’</em> kids have been immortalized forever … in these cool, custom-made bobble head sculptures, just of them!‎ Who says music theory can’t be fun!</p>

<p>Sean Carpenter of Hartwick College in New York, tested his skills on our toughest <a href="http://breezinthrutheory.com/try-it/">Breezin’ Thru Theory game</a> – Triads. Not only did he make it up all 4 levels but he posted the 2nd best score ever. He was second only to the Author, Jean McKen!</p>

I have also seen very tangible results in the performance settings. When I talk about rhythm-counting or note-names, my students seem very connected to what I’m talking about after having gone through the software activities and games in Breezin’ Thru Theory.”</p>
<p>“<em>Breezin’ Thru Composing</em> is an excellent step-by-step, differentiated way to use computers and iPads to teach composing from a fundamental standpoint, and then apply the knowledge to notation software, or apps like GarageBand. This has been very engaging for my students in Middle School Band and created a great on-going learning activity outside of just regular rehearsals and performances.”  </p>

<p>After using Breezin’ Thru Theory to practice, all members of Donna Dupuy’s Upper One Instrumental music class at Appleby College can now write out the Circle of Fifths in less than 2 minutes. The fastest time was achieved by Ashley Khun who can complete it in less than 20 seconds. To celebrate the success of the class Ashley and Kennedy Bailey baked the Circle of Fifths in cupcakes! How fun & yummy is this.</p>

<p>Manitowoc Lutheran High School has used Breezin` Thru Theory for the last 5 years as part of their Music Education program. On February 9, 2016 MLHS music students submitted the 1,000,000th drill in the BTT database <u>and</u> it was for 100%. Woohoo! A monumental moment in Breezin` Thru history and for these students! Thank you MLHS for your continued use of Breezin Thru Theory, your commitment to music education and the impressive achievements!</p>

<p>Classes from Hazel McCallion Sr. Public School turned their names into melodies by completing the composition activities from Chapters 1 & 2 in Breezin’ Thru Theory. These two young composers shared their music with us. Tracey Nguyen had no prior musical training other than classroom recorder and clarinet. Stephen Babb is a tuba player so it was natural for him to write his melody in the low register of the bass clef! Listen to how wonderful they sound and what is possible when you have an 8-measure melody. Their music teacher Ms. Barb Ward then played the compositions on music night for all parents to hear. What a thrill that was!</p>

<p>Choral Director Beverly Chinn noticed that her students at Wilmer-Hutchins High School, Dallas Texas, were benefiting from Breezin’ Thru Theory’s immediate feedback on the drills. She saw that they were taking more ownership and responsibility for their success and when they heard others getting a musical prize for a perfect score, they were motivated to get 100% too!
